The Facts of Life star Kim Fields is expecting her first child in May with boyfriend Christopher Morgan, and she tells PEOPLE pregnancy is "wonderful."
"It is amazing, surreal," says Fields, 37. "For as maternal as I've felt all my life, it still has the 'Wow!' factor."
Fields and Morgan, 30, a Broadway actor, have been together "a couple of years" and decided this summer to have a child. "We were on the subway one day and Chris said, 'I'm ready to start our family,' " Fields says. "It was beautiful and I started to weep."
Though they don't know the baby's sex, they've already picked names: "If she's a girl, Aria Grace, and if he's a boy, Sebastian Alexander."

Nicole Richie Arrested for DUI
Nicole Richie was arrested on charges of driving under the influence early Monday morning, the California Highway Patrol has confirmed to PEOPLE.
She was booked in Glendale and "was cooperative," agent John Balian of the local police force said, adding that her booking sheet showed she is 5'1" and 85 lbs. Her bail was posted at $15,000, and she was released at 7 a.m.
CHP officers responded at about 12:31 a.m. after two 911 callers reported seeing a 2005 black Mercedes SUV going the wrong way on the 134 Highway.
However, a CHP spokesman says, the officers found Richie at a complete stop facing the right direction in the carpool lane in Burbank....

Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown insists ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy is the father of the baby she's carrying and says she can't imagine why he would publicly question the child's paternity.
"I am obviously upset and distressed at some of the comments made by Eddie Murphy to the media," Brown, who is in the second trimester of her pregnancy, says in the statement released Thursday. "I have no idea why anybody would want to conduct themselves in this kind of manner about such a personal matter in such a public way.
"My main concern is for the well being of my (seven-year-old) daughter Phoenix and of course the baby. I was astonished at what Eddie said – there is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father."

You can put those rumors of a feud on the set of Dreamgirls to rest. Beyoncé Knowles says that she and her costar Jennifer Hudson, of American Idol fame, didn't have bad blood while filming the movie.

"I knew that the character that I played wasn't the star," Knowles, 25, told reporters on Saturday about knowing full well that her Diana Ross-esque role of Deena Jones was less meaty than Hudson's part as Effie White – a part that is already getting Hudson Oscar buzz. "She wasn't the underdog. She didn't have the struggle and the pain and the dramatic scenes that Effie had, and I was fine with that."

Taking the role was about proving herself as an actress. "I'm already a star. I already have nine Grammys. Everyone knows I can sing," Knowles said. "I did this because I wanted people to know that I can act and I can play someone so different from myself."

So, what about the rumors of jealousy towards Hudson? "It's really unfortunate that everyone is saying I'm jealous of Jennifer. It hurts my heart because it's so clichéd. … They're saying that I'm mad when I knew going into this that I was playing Deena," said Knowles. "Because I'm a star they just automatically assume that I'm not humble enough to sit down and take a back seat, which I am."

But the R&B star did admit that she would have liked to have sung Effie's song, "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going," a showstopper that, in large part, helped get Jennifer Holliday a Tony Award for best actress for the original 1981 Broadway version of Dreamgirls.

"I mean," said Knowles, "I wish I could've gained 20 pounds and played Effie."

Asked if she'd really have packed on the weight for the part, Knowles said, "Yes. I absolutely would have, but Bill (Condon, the movie's writer-director) didn't even believe that I could be Deena. So imagine if I would've said, 'Bill, I want to be Effie.' "

And Knowles has high praise for Hudson's portrayal of Effie. "Jennifer Hudson had such a pressure, first of all, never being in a film and never have done an album and still having to live up to those expectations," said Knowles. "She did incredible."

TOOTIE has a bun in the oven. Friends of former "Facts of Life" star Kim Fields say the actress is three months pregnant with her first child. There is no word on who the father of the baby is. For the past few years, Fields has given up acting in favor of directing and moved to New York from Los Angeles. A rep for Fields didn't return calls.
