Tabloid Round-Up

The New York Daily News has a great column that runs every Friday summarizing the top stories in the tabloids. I'd been meaning to post this for awhile. After reading this, there is usually very little need to purchase the magazines.
In Touch with Brit's 'gay' side

Observations & spoilers from an entertainment glossy addict!

By KRISSY MAC

We have all the typical fare with the mags this week ... Us gives us "Hollywood's Revenge Diets"; Life & Style says "Katie tells Tom ENOUGH"; Star asks, "Angelina Anorexic?" and In Touch reveals "Britney's Gay Secret." This all sounds quite familiar. I was kind of hoping to see those shirtless pictures of Harry Potter on one of the covers. Wait, is that wrong?

Here's what the mags are talking about this week ...

Well, according to In Touch, "Britney's Gay Secret" is that she's kind of gay. Both of her ex-husbands confirm that they were aware of Brit's flings with other women, and one friend says, "... she is sexually attracted to men and women equally." Well, if she stuck with women, at least she'd stop getting pregnant.

K-Fed plans on using these "reports of promiscuity as evidence of her irresponsibility and troubled emotional state" in their custody battle. Britney plans on using that Nationwide commercial.

Why is it that Bob Saget is the only one who can make the Olsen twins really smile? Is he actually funny, or do they just humor him because they feel sorry for him?

Us Weekly features a spread on women who got skinny (or skinnier) after their breakups, like Reese, Drew Barrymore and Kate Hudson. That's great, but where's the feature on the women who eat a pint of Ben & Jerry's every night after their breakup? THOSE are the stars who are really "Just Like Us."

Get the rest here...
