So, MTV has announced the nominees for this year's awards. I'm not so much interested in the winners, as much as I am in the live performances. Beyonce is slated to perform and she always does her thing.

Remy Ma is At it Again

The blogging community has spoken and everyone agrees that Remy Ma is a H.A.M. Here is a pic of her at a party she hosted recently in the Bronx. I have to admit that there are some improvements. I won't get my hopes up that she is a reformed H.A.M., because she has had fine fashion moments before, only to backslide into ridiculousness. I guess it's a long hard road to recovery.

Chris Brown Concert

Chris Brown performed for some winners who won some contest at a PepsiSmash concert. I'll admit that I didn't buy his album because I am not totally sold on his skills, but he is a good dancer. That's pretty much all it takes these days anyway.

VH1 hosted a benefit concert this weekend in the Hamptons.
Ciara performed. Look at her channeling her Janet Jackson:









Lyfe Jennings also performed. I love his music, but he has such a dingy look. And it's not the whole dirty backpack vibe, either. I can't quite place my finger on it though.






Gayle "I'm Not Oprah's Lover" King was also in attendance.






And so was the classy B. Smith. I wouldn't mind watching her everyday on the View.

Oh Prince!

So, Page Six is reporting that Tamar, Prince's protege may be the real reason behind his divorce.

MUSIC-industry insiders are whispering about the real reason Prince split from his wife of five years, Testolini Nelson. "Prince has been spending an inordinate amount of time with his new protégé, Tamar," said our source. "He is trying to get her signed with a major label and has her doing the rounds. Everyone takes the meeting because of Prince, but she's just a pretty girl singing Prince songs. It is not very good. He hasn't found a taker, but he is smitten with her." Calls to Prince's office were not returned.

Miami Vice European Premiere

The cast of Miami Vice attended the UK premiere. This looks like a really hot movie.

No, they weren't on the show to have a battle on who sings the worst. Ashanti was on promoting "John Tucker Must Die" and I assume Cassie was on to promote her album.

Beeyawnce One Ups LeToya

As you know, LeToya Luckett's self-titled CD was released yesterday (7/25) and is expected to do well on the strength of her hit "Torn". Not to be outdone, LeToya's former band member Beeyawnce (pronounced Bee-yawn-ce) pulled a catty move by making her album "B'Day" available for pre-order on iTunes, thereby undercutting LeToya's sales.

Beeyawnce's album was originally scheduled for release Sept. 5 but the pre-order was pushed up 2 months in advance. Beeyawnce just couldn't resist giving the ex-Destiny's Child member a virtual bitch slap.







Now, I just checked iTunes and she has the NUMBER THREE album on the site!!! Now, I love my girl, but you didn't have to do it dirty like that!

LeToya had an album release party in H-Town the other night. Of course you know who was there. The chemistry between LeToya and Slim Thug in her new video was definitely in effect.

I'm hearing The Game's next album will be loaded with guest features. Okay, so you already knew that.
But, an interesting twist is that he is expected to team up with no other than Ja Rule for a track. Now, if this goes down, it could be rather interesting. We all know how Fiddy gets when he feels that alliances are formed against him.
As long as it's kept on wax, it could make for some classic diss records.

I'll admit that I am a faithful Making the Band watcher. I even tuned in when No-Town was the act on the show. I can't help myself.
Anyway, I'll get to the point. Am I the only one who is noticing the tension between Diddy and Aubrey this season? If you recall, he thought she was "hot" when he saw her audition, he told her she moved like she had "Black in her" when she danced, and she seem more than a little peeved when she came back this season with a boyfriend.
Hmmm. I guess if (WHEN) the Dannity Kane album flops, Ms. Aubrey can write her tell all memoir about her and Diddy and the night she had "Black in her."
